In order to be successful in today’s world you must:

Define the new career, job or business you desire in detail. Get a picture of that new career in your mind with as much detail as possible. (Identity Discussion.)

Write it down. Document your new career goal with details of what work you will be doing, with whom you will be doing it, where you will do it, and how much money you want to make doing it. (Identity Discussion.)

Install the empowering Beliefs that will allow you to have faith in yourself that you can do it. Your Belief system acts as a set of filters and “sets the bar” so to speak on what you can accomplish. I have found this exercise is more about ridding yourself of old limiting Beliefs than it is of adding new Beliefs. (Beliefs Discussion.)

Lay out a master plan on how you are going to get that new career. What new skills and capabilities are you going to have to add to your current resources? Make a list of people who can help you and support you emotionally during this time. (Capabilities Discussion.)

Start taking action and moving towards your goals. You need to start moving in the right direction as soon as possible. (Behaviors Discussion.)

Start wherever you find yourself right now. Look around at your Environment and learn to see the perceived constraints as opportunities. You’ll also want to minimize your discussions with other people in your Environment about your new goals. It’s a sad fact that most people are negative and will not support you in your new quest. Just remember how many breakthroughs in every area came about even though almost everyone said it couldn’t be done. (Environment Discussion.)

Find your personal source of creative power that will fuel your new ambitions. If you can tap into something bigger than yourself, you will find the motivation and the energy to move mountains. (Spirit Discussion.)

Develop the habit of taking just minutes once or twice a day to align all these levels so that the total force of all your efforts is sharply focused on reaching your goals. The vast majority of people are misaligned and only a small part of their life force is used for their success. (Alignment Exercise Discussion)

Competition for the best jobs will continue to grow in the foreseeable future. The only way I can see to effectively deal with the situation is to align all your talents, experiences, and skills with your inner passions and to continue to learn and grow in the work you choose to do. If you don’t have a genuine passion for what you’re doing, you’re going to burn out because you just won’t have the energy to persevere.

On the other hand, if you take the time to follow the suggestions above, you’ll prosper financially and get a great deal of satisfaction from your work.
